Super Jet Sunk ski, now having problems................

to make a story short and sweet, before ski sunk, it was running fine, but every now and then when I would hit the start button, I would get just a click, push it again, and it would start fine. Now yesterday I blew the hose of the exhaust in the middle of the river, ski filled up with water faster then the bilge could get it out, got it back to the trailer, got all the water out( hull half full), but it would not start because of the same starting issue, just a faint click. Used new battery, jumped it, no difference. I went home and pulled the ebox, and jumped the starter relay, and turns over great. So I think its the start button, pulled out the multimeter and tested at every connection, and the button works great. So now it comes down to it, is it a dead starter relay? and is there a way to test it?

swap your start stop wires plug the brown /red into the black / white and use the stop button to start and see if it works that way

my ski did the same thing and ended up being my starter bendix...at first i thought my stop switch was bad cause i would hit the start and nothing..id hit it again and then a buzzzz...then it would randomly start...swapped out my started bendix because it was rusted and i didnt even realize i was getting water in the flywheel area...i guess my bendix was slowly giving out but my dad knew more then i did and he got me a new one..

I will try a new ground when I get home.

I pulled the flywheel cover when it first started when I thought the bendix may be locking up. It was clean and water free, so that's not it.

If no one stops me, I'm going to order a new starter relay and see I that is it
