Sunk ski question

I picked up a waveblaster II last night. Ski had come off the lift in a storm and crashed on the rocks near shore. Ski sat with water in it for about 2 weeks... motor and ebox were full of water. Is anything going to be salvageable or is it just all parts?

Parts.

Crank is done, wrist pin bearings are done.

Cabs will be a mess also.

Ebox and electronics might be good.


Pump out the water and see if you can get it running on a test bottle of fuel after cleaning the carbs.

Ok thanks. I guess I knew the answer already but wanted to hear from someone with more knowledge.

I will also ad that it was fresh water sunk and not salt water

Doesn't matter. You don't think fresh water will rust steel crank bearings?

That was the crank about a half hour after pumping that water out.

By the next day I couldn't move any of those bearings or the rods.

I know the bearings on the crank will be no good. I was thinking more about the ebox.

Any extra info on this ??? Did Hollywood surpass himself ? Last we heard I think he had upside down visions??

He will have an upside down worthy ski when it departs my garage. Up to him to make it flip though after that.

I'll be sure to test ride first.
