super jet flywheel

my o1 701 superjet is apart again. this time a dead bendix. since the flywheel is of i was thinking of lightining the stock flywheel only because its off again. i do have a machine shop with haas mills and lathes as well as manual mills and lathes so im quite capable. (thought id throw that out for all the smart $#@@'s out there). i no some of you this is how you make money, and that great for you, but im wanting to tackle this myself with alittle help. what are the recomended specs for the o.d and the face. dont want to go to thin and blow it apart. that makes a mess. i know its on here but want some more oppinions. thanks.

If you cut .040 on the face, use a carbide that will leave a radius just as you get to the center hub.
Cut .060 on the O.D. with a small 45* degree cut at the edge.

cool thanks. will this make a noticable difference or am i wasting time. i already have group-k head work, b-pipe and the usual prop, intake grate, ride plate and basic add ons. iv been told the tbm (i believe) makes a huge difference but a stock one? im corious.

You will get mixed reviews on this mod . Some say yea , some say nay . I say either way . I didn't intend for this to rhyme , I have not done mine , so in closing think about it and take your time ............. I just could't not help my self

ive tested lightened stockers back to back with stock and 2 lb a/m fw.the lightened stocker is a waste of time. the a/m is worth the $ they are more than a full pound lighter than the best you can do with a stocker. good used rads, jetinetics, riva, msd charging fws can all be found for less than 350,they are the same weight as the tbm,ive weighed most of them. just way less expensive.
