Superfreak (or any other hull) hood vents, let's see them

Have a superfreak Titan, it has only the pole tube breathers, I think I want more.

Interested in seeing what other people have done to add vents but keep water out on aftermarket hulls, tons of info out there on what to do on a stock hull, but not many pictures of aftermarket hood vent/baffle/liner/whatever setups.

Pretty much the same but there isnt enough room between the hood and the liner in some areas for it to hold a tube. Vacuum hose from lowes/home depot works fine if you do it and cut slits in hose where you screw it in holes you drill so air can get through it better.

@McDog I know you had a freak because I was just reading your thread about making the ride plate extension (nice work!) Did you add Danny extra venting or just use the pole tubes in your ski?

Just need to paint it black- it sticks out like a sore thumb but it makes my ski more functional so I don’t care. Water intrusion isn’t terrible since I can almost always keep throttle side up and I have vacuum hose routing to the base of the hull. My hood is a thin style so it doesn’t allow more vents- although crazyjoe now sells his BAM hull with an updated hood that has molded vents, so problem solved. I’ve actually already added another of these fittings and the ski just keeps hitting harder and harder. Of course it all depends on motor/carb setup.

I dont have any pics but I used a hole saw and just shortened up the drill bit and carefully drilled (2) 2 inch holes near the front of the hood in just the liner be careful as there is probably only 1 inch between hood and liner and used Frog Skins I bought from Blowsion in 2014 .You can buy various sizes I believe, they are very fine mesh use a 3M peel away tape and glue on and are very high quality, and allow air to pass thru but water runs off. I still have them on the under side of the hood and water intrusion is not an issue. This is on a SF Badass hood I have pole breathers also and ride surf .

Do you have the holes in the "indents" in the back corner of the hood? Looks like that is a common thing for Freaks.

No Mine are in the front . Seems like most jet skis allow air in the front water runs out the back without water entering engine compartment , that was my reasoning anyway . I will try and take some pics if I can get out of my chair lol

I meant on the outside of the ski.

I've been searching around looking for pictures of freak hoods, it seems like many but not all freaks have these cut open. Mine are not, but I think I will be cutting them then adding tubes inside. (this is not my ski, just some random picture of a superfreak that I found)

Yes my ski has those. That is where the water exits and air enters , also that is why I cut holes in my liner ,odd your Freak dose not have them. Somebody probably ordered from Tem without? His thinking was probably giving the buyer options. You could just drill holes in that location which is where most hoods drain and install Frogzskins as in my picture and your motor would breath. Entirely customizable by You good luck with your Freak
