Superjet 701 cutting out at more than 1/2 throttle?

I have a '99 Superjet that had a couple problems (some bad connections in the electrical box, and the starter bendix replaced), unfortunately I couldn't ride it on the water between the two repairs and now that I took it out, it seems to cut out/vibrate (sort of like a rev-limiter) at anything more than 1/2 throttle. It runs fine and seems to make normal power less than 1/2 throttle.

I just took off the flywheel again and everything looks fine (and was aligned w/ the key), tested the charging and pulser coil are within specs, the overheat sensor isn't grounded when I test it, and everything appears okay in the electrical box...

It did sound slightly different when running it, which made me think it was with the flywheel or timing, but I'm not seeing anything wrong. It has a new coil.

Thanks for any input!

Just in case someone else comes up on this from a search, the problem ended up being the CDI. Replaced it with one from Jetmanic and all is well!

I had recently replaced the coil with wires and plug ends so those were okay.

Thank you for letting us know what fixed it. That might be my problem on my ski. But did you ever figure out what two fingernails to use?
