Superjet built on Friday

Putting together a 2013 limited setup and pulled the motor to find this. I have only pulled apart a half dozen or so factory assembled topends but have never seen anything like this. Looks like a "good enough" job.

Looks like they coated the gasket in rtv or something lol. I bet there is that much ooze inside the motor also!

That or you caught Slimer in your motor. Who do you call? GHOSTBUSTERS!

That's pretty bad, never seen that kind of mess on a factory built engine.

I'm sure @FPF would not be surprised by this.

I have never seen a factory head gasket installed anything but dry, I am a bit worried to think a) why they would use yamabond at all, b) why they did such a sloppy job.

I know the local dealer here milled my SXR head when the ski was brand new (we are at high altitude). Maybe a dealer had the head off and did a chappy job putting it back together
