Found this sj on Craigslist, but I feel like something is suspicious... Does this seem like a legitimate price for this ski? Just wanted to check with you guys before I make the trip to check it out.

Yea doesnt seem too suspicious to me. Its just a stock RN. I feel like RN's are coming down in price due to all the AM hulls out now. Go for it.

Ive noticed RN hull prices have more than doubled in the last 10 years. I remember when you could get a RN hull with hood/nose piece for $500 all the time, now everybody wants 1k+. Complete RN's have seem to held their prices well. I always see these RN's in this basic stock shape for a good deal one at $2500 or less(rare IMO), and usual price up to $3500-4k. Some peeps will pay good money for a unmolested stock SJ.

Hell, some are asking almost 2K for a stock SN...lol

Superjet prices have decreased big time over the last year or two. Two years ago $3500 for a clean round nose would have been a steal. Nowadays it's a fair price. I see lots of superjets priced at 2012 prices and the sellers wonder why they can't sell the ski.

I think prices are going up or at least maintaining value. Except for a/m builds, there arent many new skis being produced.

There will always be a market for SJs. Even though a lot of people want an AM hull, not everyone feels that way. Like JM said, not many new SJs are being produced so the used market will only get stronger as time goes by. That's looks like a nice clean ski. Unmolested isn't always easy to find. It's nice buying a ski with mods already done since you're usually paying for a package deal but it's not always the easy way to go about it... depends how well it was molested :)

I paid $3500 for my stock 03' with 20 hours on it in 07'.

Sold it for 3500 with a lot more done to it in 2012.

That looks like a great price for a clean unmolested ski.

If you had put it back to stock, then it would have probably still sold for $3500.

Strange thing about super jets, or should I say the people buying them, is that they wont buy your modified superjet for $4500, but they will buy your stock superjet for $3500, then give you $2000 for the parts.

Whoever is selling that has been posting it all over Craigsllist for months with different locations in the tag each time. For that price it should have disappeared a long time ago. Seems kind of fishy to me, but who really knows.

That's what I have noticed. He's supposably in Utah and the ski is at a relatives in NorCal.

Out of curiosity, how does that work if the title is in Utah and Im here in Cali? He said the regi is not current but since the title is in Utah it doesn't matter? Would I get hit with a bunch of surprises at the DMV?

No as long as you have title (or Registration if Utah is a non-title state) you will be fine. $3500 is a fair deal. I just paid $4500 for a 2000 but it was mildly built by Kommander from a guy in Arizona (I'm in Carlsbad, CA). I think I was actually entertaining the ski you mention before I pulled the trigger on mine (below).
