Super Jet Superjet Electrical Issues

Just installed a 61x into my SN, and am having issues with the new electrical...

I purchased a 61x ebox to replace my old rusted out ebox that I previously had with the 650. Installed the 61x motor and ebox, but the motor didn't crank. I ohm'd out the start/stop switch, and it seems to be functioning correctly. I then jumped the starter relay and the starter turned, so I assumed the relay was the problem. Installed a new starter relay, and still have the same problem! When taking the small brown wire off of the starter relay and touching it to the larger red battery wire it does spin the starter...

Another confusing part- when jumping the small brown wire and the small red wire on the ebox end of the connector that goes to the start/stop, the starter does not spin... which I thought it should because you are completing the circuit?

Any info that anyone can give would be appreciated!

Check the fuse, sounds like no voltage to start switch

I just dealt with the exact same thing. The red wire that ran from the fuse holder to the starter relay had gotten pinched and the wire insulation had gotten cut ever so slightly, salt water got in and corroded the wire all the way through. I had to pull the entire electrical box out to find it. Good Luck!!!!

The red wire that ran from the fuse holder to the starter relay had gotten pinched and the wire insulation had gotten cut ever so slightly, salt water got in and corroded the wire all the way through. I think I saw your threat when searching for solutions! Glad that worked out for you, but no luck for me. I inspected all the wires, and even went as far as bypassing the fuse assembly and connecting the wire directly to the relay. I know this is considered a "no-no", but I'm getting desperate at this point and am willing to try anything to figure out what the problem is!

I am having the same issue, have you found the solution. With a test light I am getting fire to the battery side terminal of the solenoid. When I test the small post on the same side pushing the start button I also get a light. The only wAy I can get fire to the other small post is by taking the black wire off the post that connects to the rectifier. I am thinking its the voltage regulator/rectifier? Any input would be great

I just opened up the ebox on my 61x and found out that i have no fuse at all. Why is it a no no?

This is where my mind went first as well. Fuse is good.

I had an issue where I was getting no power to the starter. I visually checked the fuse and it looked good. Put the fuse back in still nothing. Went to check the fuse again and one of the ends of the fuse came off. Replaced it with a new fuse and it fired up. Point is the fuse was bad but looked good visually. Install a new fuse and see what happens.

Okay because mine is hardwired in, i see no fuse holder. Previous owner sh*t rigged this thing and idk where to start. I have a MSD enhancer for this

I have seen issues like this before checked all of the above and it ended up being a bad negative battery connection on the starter bolt

You might just need to send it to Jetmaniac or Jetskisolutions and have them sort it out for you. With no fuse between the power in and cdi, no telling. Electrical issues drive me insane. Hope you get it worked out.
