superjet head pressure?

Helping my friend with his 740 superjet. My guestion is that this ski is build 20hours ago with new ada head. Pressure is 225psi and ski runs with pump gas.. To me that pressure sounds way too high but ski has 20hours now and its working.. What do you think

If you are not going WOT then you might be ok. But keep in mind, what is the Octane of Pump Gas over there, its different than here. I use to run right at 200 lbs at sea level with no issues years ago. Alot has to do with your port timing. But I would say he might want to get some larger domes and drop it down some.

Isnt pump gas 97 or 98 over their ?

No, it's actually the same fuel. The octane number is just reported differently.
In the United States, Canada, Brazil, and a few other countries the Anti-Knock Index or Posted Octane number shown on the pump is derived from the average of the Research Octane Number and the Motor Octane Number, or (R+M)/2.
The octane numbers found at the pumps in other countries is the Research Octane Number, which is typically 8 to 12 octane higher than the Motor Octane Number.

so our 98 is 98 there?

Well anyway i dont know is there any porting on this engine. Its new to my friend so he dont know either.but 20hours riding says that it works.. And funny thing is that erik and grum from nitro circus ride it about two hours while nitro and stunt freak team filming last week.. Either of them did not noticed that second carburetor was totally loose.. Erik said to me that it runs good but stock yamaha that he ride there too was better.. But even more funny is that engine is just fine. Carb was loose and fuel line was broken. So no fuel and too much air for that cylinder but no seizure? Must be that it just happened when he ride it to shore.. Dont know...
