will a 2008 sj hood fit the 96-07 sj? are there any differences?

and

are the poles the same?

Hoods are the same but the top aluminum section of the pole is about two inches shorter causing less steering throw on the nozzle.

Also I think the color has a shade more purple on the 08 parts.

08 pole is same as FX-1 pole.

Hood is the same
Pole is not. (Essentially an FX1 pole and steering cable)

ahhh i see, i was thinkin of picking up a hood to use on my ski for right now, while i took my time chopping up my current hood and trying out my glassing skills! you know, lower it, new liner in it... just thinkin...
