After every ride my foam in my tray gets water in it. Every ride. And my engine gets wet and gets water in the engine compartment. Its not that bad, but after about two hours of riding, there will be enough water in the superjet to fill it up to the top of my bedplate! Yes I have a bilge, but is there any common issues with superjets getting water inside? Maybe a bad hood seal? It has bolt on tubbies but I did install them correctly and they have no leaks. When it sits I believe water just gets in the back tray. When I'm riding it gets into my engine compartment. So when I'm riding its probably the hood seal correct? Anyone have suggestions for keeping it dry?

check the water lines coming into your hull and see if they have a hole/split in them. Or take the hood off and ride it *carefully* and see if you can see the water that way.

your bilge is not working.
ok will do. Can't believe I didn't think of that, I've done it with several kwaks.
I'm almost positive it isn't in the watercoolimg system because the water is still cold, and I've idled it with the hood off to check it. But it doesn't hurt to double check.
my stock siphon is not hooked up. I have a Solas mag pump. I made my own "siphon" that doesn't work or its super slow. I took a y split and ran it from the pump to the siphon hose. I don't want to explain the whole thing but I tested it and it worked. Who knows if its actually working now in the ski, but it worked on a little test and does pull water.

If your bilge is working you would not have water in there. You have water leaking in somewhere. Water Intake or your Bilge...... Or your intermediate housing is leaking......... It cannot be "My Bilge works fine, there is not a leak in my cooling system..........." only other option you have is you have a hole in your hull.

You never mention if you have a RN or SN. SN is known to let water in through the air ducts on the hood.
Spend an afternoon trying to find the problem. Go through the cooling and bilge systems and make sure all hose clamps are tight and sealed. Make sure your ski is completely dry sitting on the trailer or stand. Remove the ride plate, grab a garden hose and fill the hull with about 2-3 inches of water, grab a beer and watch to see if water comes out anywhere, fast leak or slow leak.
If you feel you have wet foam, check for cracks around the bulk head. Water could be going in through the tray and when full underneath there, going into your engine compartment.
I never have much luck with siphon bilges, so I always delete them in favor of an electric bilge. I hope you find your issue...sinking skis aren't fun.

Ok guys my bilge works lol. Its controlled by a switch its not a floater bilge that turns on whenever there's water. And yes my foam is wet, I installed drain plugs in the rear because I have to let water out at the end of every ride! A beer? Lol I'm 15, but thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll fill it up with water, ill hook up a hose in the rear to the water cooling to look for a leak, and I'll probably buy a electric bilge with a floater so it will turn on whenever there's water. wait wait, back up, your draining out the area below and beside the pump cavity..... you bulkhead is leaking or you have a waterline that is split............. It is one or the other... you should not be getting any water in there, also, if you have that much water in there, you need to remove all your turf, remove most of the bottom of your tray and the sides, and defoam all the way to the bulkhead, re-seal the bulkhead and inspect all your waterlines.

And a little update for everyone! I filled er up with water to the top of the motor mounts, the only leak my hull has are the bolt on tubbies. And yeh, its bad lol. Probably a gallon an hour type of bad. And I'm not sure if it has a split waterline in the rear beneath the tray in all the foam, I'd bet money on an unsealed bulkhead though. When I defoam, I am going to cut polystyrene blocks (extruded, won't absorb water and is very light) and fill in the under tray area with it. Thanks for all the replies guys. I've found the issue! And in the winter I'll fix what's going on with the wet foam but not now, I just had it painted and turfed. Live and learn. I'll test things before rebuilding everything now.
