Hello,
I have two RN pre 08 superjets, and I would like to bild one out of them with the best parts for recreational Buoy racing on the lake and carving on the sea.
Could somebody give me an advice about the best settup (which parts to use)?
I would like to keep the SUPERJET WITH ORANGE GRAPHICS motor end hull, beacause of the dual cooling lines and fresh builded motor, but the hull of the superjet with the NEON graphics and white bottom is much more stable when going straight and also when cornering hard the back slips a lot.
PERFORMANCE
My current settup of the SUPERJET WITH ORANGE GRAPHICS has now the next moods (black exhaust) :
- Dual cooling (one intake for the collector, one for the pipe), three water outlets (each cilinder, pipe)
- ADA griled head with domes
- Bigger Mikuni carbs with flame arrestors
- Riva/Speedwerks dry pipe with 2mm water restriction
- Skat-trak 14/20 impeler
- Blowson tubbie front sponsons
- Worx shape rear sponsons
- Worx intake grade
- Three inch shortened pole with straight bars
I would really appreciate any suggestions about my current settup.
Which pipe is better for my current setup, the Riva/Speedwerks dry pipe or the Pro tec one which I think is a wet pipe?
HANDLING
As I mentioned before I would like to keep the ORANGE one hull, but I dont know why it is so unstable. The main differences from one hull to another are:
FRONT SPONSONS
On both there are the same front Blowson type tubbies, the difference is just that on the NEON one the tubbies are mounted fruther back. When I bought the ORANGE on the sponsons were mounted eaven fruther back, but I instaled them as stated in the Blowson guide (attached), 36,1/4 inch from the back of the ski, slightly above the bottom hull.
REAR SPONSONS
The only difference is that the NEON one has RIVA sponsons, that fills the back corner of bond rail area, the ORANGE has just the sponsons mounted on the rail.
RIDE PLATE
Both have an aftermarket plate, but the NEON one has the Dominator plate, which is more extended.
POLE LENGTH
The NEON one has the OEM pole shortened 2 inch, the ORANGE one 3 inch+
I would really appreciate any suggestions about my stability issues on the orange one, so I don't need to change everything.
Should I switch for the longer pole (-2) for more backward position?
Should I change the front sponsons positioning?
Should I change the rear sponsons to fill the gap in the rails?
Shouls I change the ride plate for the longer one?
I will really appreciate any suggestions!!
