I'm looking at a Yamaha FX1 and am curious on what the differences are between the FX1 and the superjet are Component wise. The FX1 I'm looking at has a 62 t 701 in it, but I do not know about any of the other components. Can someone please clear up for me what (if any) differences are between the pump and driveline from an FX1 to a superjet.
thanks

ya, besides the pump there isn't much different. depending on your skill set, most people would be better off starting on a sj. fx1's tend to be a bit more tippy, but I guess this is something you would get used to if you owned the hull. its common to see a kawi pump swapped into the fx1, but it requires quite a bit of modifying.

IMO, if the fx1 doesn't have any pump mods, I would go with the superjet... if the fx1 pump has been swapped, well, fx1's foooquin rock!

I own an FX1 and let me tell you that this ski is way different then the SJ. it is shorter and thinner. which means its lighter too. it's like a Kawasaki 550 on steroids. Super fun to ride once you get the hang of it. easy to whip around. The pump is an issue, too small. with a pump swap and a factory b pipe install, you could have a beast. it also has a smaller gas tank. My friends SJ rides like a cadillac compared to the FX1.
