SUPERJET VS SXR

Location

Looking to pull the trigger on a new one this week.

Ski will be mainly for riding in my lake. Rarely any ocean. Having trouble reading all the reviews which one is better suited. I like the weight of the superjet but the sxr seems to be the best handler.

Just curious if anyone has both and what they think.

I don't know many people who bought 4 stroke SXR's and kept them.
Yes, they handle good. So do sitdowns. They don't do anything else well.

I don’t think he said 4 stroke sxr did he? The two stroke sxr is better for a choppy lake, a superjet is better for hopping around

Yes, both new 4 strokes. I think I am leaning towards the superjet. Been riding standups on and off since 16 now 52. Really wanted for a daily hour session of carving turns and nice workout. It will sit on the dock behind my house on the lake. So I want to take full advantage of riding in the 10 months here in Miami.

Thanks for all the responses hate to plunk down 12k and not be happy. Can't get over how heavy and long the SXR is.

I have ridden both quite a bit, i own the 4t superjet and my buddy has the 4t sxr. The sxr is a lot more stable and easier to ride, but you usually dont even get wet! The sxr is easier on your body if you're older, but it also wont leave the water and the nose like to tuck under waves.

I have a couple of 4 stroke super jets, a 23' & a 22' and owned 2 of the 4 stroke SXR's. We have the full Riva kits on the superjets and they come very close to the SXR performance wise. They run great, handle pretty well. The SXR is heavier and the weight is definitely felt. As far as getting the SXR's in the water you really need to handle them like a sit-down because of the weight/length. Both are easy to ride. My son and I prefer the super jets.

I've ridden both quote a bit as well.
I also use to be a die-hard kawi guy but will be buying a 4stroke superjet when I find 1 for a decent price
The new superjet ride more like a 800 sxr.

I rode both, imo the 4 stroke Superjet for rec riding seems like a good pick. I rode one with all the lites racing mods and it was fun, but I was still surprised at how crappy the steering was even with an ovp and quick steer. If it is for bouy chasing/racing I would go SXR 1500. It hooks up better and is faster. The SJ rides more natural at low speeds.
