SX/SXi/SXi Pro SXI PRO question, whats it worth/ how hard is it to put a new steering cable in?

I am looking at a 2002 Sxi Pro with a worx ride plate, PLD -2 handle pole and blowsion bars on it. other than that the ski is stock, I was wondering how much it is worth, the guy is asking 1900 but the steering cable is broken and i would have to put it in. The guy has the steering cable i would just have to install it and it looks like a task. If its something i can do by myself is it worth it to pick the ski up? any advice would be much appreciated! thanks guys

Changing the cable isnt hard per say its just time consuming. To make it easy on yourself i would remove the plate and pump to get to the rear hull fitting. Then take off both the cable ends so that pulling it through the hull and pole would not be difficult. Next I would unbolt the pole bracket and the steering cable bracket. Make sure you note the position of the 8mm nut on either end of the old cable so you dont have to full around with adjusting it too much. Otherwise just take your time.

I'm changing my steering cable right now... I tried everything and finally decided to remove the engine, the waterbox and slide de gaz tank away... It is easier to make room in that hull. That's not a big job but it is long to make it.
