SXR sxr build help

i am building an 05 sxr , and I am running into a few problems .

the front cover / stator has been replaced , the new stator has additional red and purple wire. connected to the stator .(5 wire plug) where the old one was only 3 wire plug ..


is there something that can be done in the electrical box to remedy this thanks !

The additional red and purple wires are used to power the cdi on 03 and earlier kawi's, you dont need them as your cdi is powered from the battery. Just cap and stow them.

sooo your saying that I can cut the plug and replace with the old one minus the red and purple wire ( capped off wires)

yea, the '03 and earlier had analog cdi's, '04 and up have the digital cdi.
