Ok so now it begins. I am starting on the sxr fixed steer hood. anyone have a good side picture of a new x2? I have some things I need to change from where the sj conversion was. measurements would be useful too.

Here is the ski with a cutdown pole, I need to get some measurements of angles and points so I can pour the foam and start it. its not much but its starting. I will be updating my blog on my site every week to keep the build moving forward. it can be found here-http://professionaljetskirepair.com/blog
its under construction so the parts are not up and prices are not yet correct or finished. I'm getting to it.

and I am gonna try to do this one up at the same time. It got postponed when I was finishing up the roundnose. after this hood is done I have one more for the square. My plan is to have this be a testrider ski when its done.

i am working on it, slowly but working on it. i think a matrix one would be really nose heavy. isn't that think like a foot shorter than a sj

nah the hydro is just visual carbon in a few spots. it is just plain old glass for structure.
i would like a blaster 1 piece hood and my new glass seat first

yeah that is what I need. I have a few ok pictures to use for the lines. I need to know the angle of the steering and where it is located height and front to back where it mounts to the hood. I know I can't position it in the same place but I have a good idea where its going and it would be good to know where it is on the new x2

I need a good one from the rear or rear from the side of the hood. measurements of where the steering is located referenced from the front- rear and the bondline. steering angle.

the bottom deck is same as sxr correct?

here is a couple off quick pics tom , if you wont any diffrent angle or more deatail off something let me know tom.
and from the tip off the nose measureing straight up to the centre off the bar clamps is 1390 mm and off the bond rail loos to be 575mm.

i have thought about trying to move the steering forward a inch . when riding it is fine but in the waves it does feel a wee bit tail heavy and when remounting it like to try and tail stand a wee bit . its not much off a problem but just something i would like to try

thanks- that is what I needed. its funny, I been taking Godocgo's input and adding it to the riding I have done and trying to find the best spot. I think because its bigger I will want it back further on the sxr and then you go and say it might be nicer more forward.:jester: its all good though as I think its gonna be forward more anyway. Godocgo has found some slick bar risers and its getting him dialed in. so in the end I think lower and forward will be easier to fix for every rider.

I noticed something I had never seen before. I was setting the bondline of the ski level to the floor and then realized the tray angled down?? never noticed it before. now that I think about it, I will have to go check if the tray is level with the bottom and the bondline is angled up. I think that is the case.

here is another pic so you can kinda get a idea off the steering placement compared to a old x2 that you can just make out in the back ground . the old one is alot thirther forward than the new one , just a quick comparsion off the two side by side .
i also just measured the steering angle , it was with my iphone tho . it looks to be 27 deg

with the steering placement on the new x2 the tray area feels very small to me , but i am 6/5 so it might be somthing that effects tall people

well no wonder you want it forward you're a fookin giant! lol j/k. I was est the angle to be 30deg not to bad. I'm set for measurements I think. thank you!! I think I might print that pic and take picks of my sxr with the pole and overlay them. so I can see where the trays differ and how far the steering is away from each other. I can't wait to get started!
