Syncing the OEM 38mm carbs

I somehow thought it was a good idea to loosen the screw that makes both carbs run together because I could not join them, but I am not sure now if they are in sync, visually they look fine but cant tell if they are perfect. Is there any procedure from the service manual?

remove the flame arrestors. With the butterfly closed look down and both of them, if one is open then adjust the screw between the carbs until they are both equally closed.
Will take you about 5 minutes.
