Blaster testing spark plug wires

Stoped getting spark on my blaster, im doing an ohms test on my spark plug wires, I stick the meter in the ends of the wires and get nothing. on the other end of the ignition coil in the ebox on the black and orange wires I get power. Do I have a bad ignition coil?

the reading between the HT leads should be between 3.5 and 4.7 K ohms.
the standard leads have a tendancy to break within the insulation giving a no spark or intermittent spark problem.
easy fix is to carefully dig out the old lead until the spikes within the coil are exposed, then using some copper cored HT lead (bought cheaply from any automotive store) refit into coil using araldite or similar to hold in place and keep water out.
another more half assed way would be to try cutting the lead back an inch or so and try to get a reading then.

why does the dealer want to charge me 160$ when I can buy this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-YAMAHA-..._Watercraft_Parts&hash=item2c668ecfb3&vxp=mtr

for 60$ bucks? Is it because its not OEM? is it still pretty good?
You probably looked up the 760 oem coil which has the fiberglass carbon impregnated wires and the regular oem coil uses tinned copper wire which are less expensive. I would just use the regular coil with some MSD spark plug ends to save on the cost. Most those new coils on eBay are the WSM brand which should work just fine or better than the oem coils. Glad you found the issue and if your resistance is showing open between the primary orange & black wires or between secondary ignition wires that would defiantly be a problem.
