Here's My new FootRocket! Luckily our lake will still be warm for a little while, so I should be able to get a little riding in! Plan on going to LSFR SurfSide in two weeks, so that should be interesting.

Getting it ready for paint, I think it looks like it should handle pretty good!

Sanded and ready for paint.

For the base coat, I went with a 2-part white epoxy, this stuff is super strong but kinda spendy.

Now I can see in the engine bay! I hate black bays, cant see what your doing.

Went with a black and yellow splatter in the engine bay

and white and yellow on the inside of hood and bulk head

haha, I have always wanted to do an engine bay like this, really like how it turned out.

Can't wait to check out your Predator!

Got the new duct shoe installed. I used G-Flex to glue on the shoe and was out of black dye, so used I grey instead.

Install was so much easier then my past experiences with this little sweet tool, its a must have when doing pump alignment

Pump Assemble Installed, perfectly square and has a very tight and even seal.

This is the best alignment I have ever seen in a aftermarket hull, it is also better then most OEM hulls

The mounting holes for the intake grate were angled slightly different, it would be putting the intake grate/mounting bolts in a bind, so i had to modify the intake grate slightly so it would lined up perfectly

the current plate im running i chopped 2-3 inches off of

the other plate i bought of MattE when he was selling his carbon rocket last year... Its the long plate still shrink wrapped in plastic from Krash.

Thanks!

Made the inside width of the plate narrower so it fit properly, had to use washer before, to much of a PINA if you ask me

I did something similar with mine because it sucked trying to get shims to stay in between the hull and plate.
More recently, though, my plate has a layer of some fine weave glass on the inside to look cleaner, I guess, and that's started to peel off... Not structural by any means though.

Ill definitely keep you in mind.

Ride plate installed

Hood Straps

and handle pole. I will be trying to re-paint the chin pad, looks pretty out of place imo.

After installing the pole I noticed the stock spring fits a little differently then the XFS I built, I didn't want to take the pole back off and I am running out of time, so I just Tig welded a SS nut with everything still installed, worked out fine. I love my tig welder, I seem to always need it on all my builds that I have done.

Very sexy ski. Always loved the lines on the foot rockets. Wish I was making it to the LSFR to see it in person, unfortunately I will be out of town.
