okay i took off the pump and the seal between the pump and the hull was chewed up. where can i get another one? anyone have a clue? also the prop looks like it has had acid poured on it, it looks as if it has eroded and ate a rock or two.

Just about any place can get the seal so chose who you like to deal with.
Doesn't cost much at all.

The prop, or what you describe as acid burn is cavitation.

that impeller would make a $30K ski run like crap.

throw the impeller away, buy the new packing ring, inspect the pump closely for wear on the veins behind the impeller ( easier after you remove the impeller), sometimes they start to erode from the cavitation also.

Yes sir, somthing to hold the splines in a vise. It may be reverse threads (righty loosey/ lefty tighty) I cant remeber but very well worth noting. Someone else will chime in here, maybe theres a way to get it off with out the usual tool.

search for impeller + shonuffs name and Ill bet you will find it, or check the tech faq

Just for clarification - I meant it was only a Yamaha OEM part, didn't mean you couldn't get it from outside sources
