thread size for flywheel bolt?

thought I had a bendix issue until further investigation proved otherwise.


apparently - my mechanic did not torque the flywheel bolt properly and it back out of the crank. The end of the flywheel bolt is buggered up a bit -

should I run a tap into the crank to make sure the threads are not buggered as well?

what size tap is it?

How is your crank snout and keyway?

The thread size is M10X1.25

Replace the bolt, Loctite the threads and torque it to 65 lbs.

nope - flywheel and key are still firmly attached - or else this might have been a much more expensive fix.

yes BK - there are thread cutting and thread chasing taps.

I have a bottoming tap that I can run in there.
