ive spent every single chance of freetime focusing and tweaking a freestyle hull i will offically release to public hopeflly by daytona but this zxi motors been on my shelf for over a year and decided it was time this build has been in the works for about the past 2 1/2 months and is now done tons of innovatin im pumped to get some ride time. although this particular type of build isnt favored on this site figured id show off the finished poduct and detail tis craft has. first off i need to thank chris03hd for all the hard work he put into this ski, chris also built this for me, as he's become quite the wizard with 1100 kawi motors and mechanical parts in general, and also a great friend. the attention to detail brought to this ski is just insane, the way things are routed and mounted just blows me away. using my lightweight carbon/glass/kevlar hull combined with meticulous rigging and tuning will result in an amazing boat anyway you look at it.
at first we were going to build this ski on more of a conservative stock style budget (pole, steering, electrics, motor), after thinking about it i said screw it and the list goes on from there everything (besides the motor, carbs and electrics ) is brand new off the shelf onto this ski. been down that road before and it doesnt pay, spend the cash do it right, do it once. this list is long and will follow later.
1100 sxr build owners know as much fun as they are and have proved to be a race machine, rec riders have a problem with the small 4.??? fuel tank, problem solved this beast has a 6.8 gal tank, check that one off the list and bring more fuel to the lake because youll need it. me being new to skis i always scratched my head when i saw the goofy mandrel bent pieces going in these highdollar stock ,trinity and bullet hulls placing the stockwaterbox up front unless mandatory seemed kind of dumb and wouldnt go in my ski.problem solved again, box is in the back right behind the pipe, behind the firewall. the room this ski has inside will be really nice when you need to work on it.and best part its no louder than one with a modded box in an sxr. i was lucky enough to attend havasu this year, see everything and meet the people ive done business with all year. really nice to see the innovation being brought to the sport.
more to come aswell as pictures of the progress from layup to water test (tomorrow) and oh yeah this ski is forsale :Banane01:
