I hate winter

One of my main reasons keeping me from moving somewhere like there was not knowing anyone and having people to ride with. Looks like we can solve that. Jetski island it is!
We are seriously thinking of moving after this long winter however determining where is the main problem.

Me and my wife have had the same discussion. Unfortunately my skills don't transfer to an industry in tropical locations. I could get another job in a minute....if I want to move to Minneapolis, Indiana, or new jersey.....

I have the advantage there as a software developer. Likely I could just work from home for my current employer.

i know a bartender from Albany, NY that moved there... he bartends at a bar where the cruise ships come in.. makes $50k a year and never works late nights or sundays... he loves it.

florida just seems like a melting for all things bad. You guys are like the American version of Australia. You have pythons, alligators, bull sharks, sink holes, hurricanes, flooding issues, tons of poisonous snakes, snakehead fish, and now nile crocs. Every year some moron brings another invasive species to your state and they thrive with the perfect weather you have. This is coming from someone who has never been though lol. The internet paints a scary portrait ;)

Im with you. When I was riding lake diaz after daytona as soon as I fell off you probably have never seen anyone get back on so quick. I kept thinking a gator or snake was going to get me.

Also you forgot about the killer brain eating amoebas.

Haha I would be freaking out if I fell man! Oh ya those brain eating amoebas. Wasn't there also the flesh eating bacteria people were getting from the seafood? That place doesn't appeal to me.

I love in Florida I hate creepy crawlers lol its not that bad lol amoebas only in water that is hot and not alot of movement sharks barely bother you unless u are stupid enough to irritate them or swimming while they are feeding alligators swim away when u go buy them so when we ski we ride around in this huge Lake and they go away to other side snakes are scary also lol kill them when ever possible snake heads fish haven't seen near us but down by thrust they have had encounters

My girlfriend has a friend that did something very similar but in Puerto Rico.....and he is loving life.

I have applied to a lot of jobs down south. I used to be super passionate about snowboarding but with my work schedule and the rest of things in life, I have only went a handful of times in the past two years.

I would much rather jet ski year-round. Chicks are way hotter in bikinis than snow pants.
