SXR To reinforce or not?

So I picked up an 05 SXR on Sunday that was built by Blowsion for a freerider named Kyle Moore. The ski has a boat load of parts (quite literally) and performs well.

When getting the ski, I knew there were going to be some 'stress cracks'. I was a bit surprised about how many cracks there really were. After some close inspection, I determined a good majority (if not all) of them were just in the gel coat.

I plan on completely taking it apart this next winter, fixing some spots in the hull, and painting it. I know these hulls are strong, but having been ridden hard, would this ski need to be reinforced?

When I get this repainted, I'm thinking of having some flex additive added to the paint to prevent this from happening again.

Other than the hood seal area pict that looks like most 05 SXR's they all stress crack adn some pop the gel coat right off, but the hull is still very strong, id say a best reinforce around the hood seal if you are riding surf and plan to do stabs, rolls, etc. Other that that just run it :)

I go by what I heard years ago from another guy we ride with.... these things are like dirtbikes. It's not a fashion show out there, as long as they run all day and perform who cares if its a mess. a couple scratches or cracks wont hurt anything.

Cool deal, that's what I was hoping for. I will probably just fill under the hood seal lip and call it good unless I find some actual cracks.

This ski has been ridden pretty hard both in comp (Surf Slam 09) and rec. I know both previous owners were rolling it.

My gel coat is all cracked up from hitting rock and failed roll attempts. The hulls are really pretty strong, but the gel coat is not.
