Square nose? Not likely that you won't damage the topdeck, they are very weak. If you have a lot of patience you may be able to seperate them with little to no damage.

i can think of a few reasons why. Would make for some epically easy installs and reinforcement.

Whether is not its doable is more up to your patience and luck. I seperated an old seadoo the other day. Came apart ok, but i had already cut most of the top off so i wasnt worried about what was left breaking (which alot did)
The epoxy or w/e it is on the seadoo released before most of the glass breaks but you gotta go super slow or the glass will crack and shear

well i bought an extra sn hull and wanted to make a mould, too much work and tools i would end up spending more than my broke a$$ has.

i broke the pump pvc, all the water lines and other bs, it would be alot easier for me to just speapare it, defoam , install footholds, and get everything together and then just pop the bottom and top together.

any techniques reccomended?

i was thinking chizzle the inside boldline, then chizzle firewall, then go to the outside and work at it?

sounds like ALOT of extra work bro. easier once its apart maybe, but getting to that point? i would end up just cutting it out of frustration haha.
just cut the tray out.

I know of one RN that came apart with little damage. I have never seen a SN come apart without complete destruction of the top. With the amount of heat needed, and the area needing to be heated, I just can't see it happening without an army of heat gun equipped helpers working in unison.

I'm just guessing here but you may be able to cut a good portion of the glue out between the top and bottom decks. Just grind along the bond line all the way around on the outside. My thought was if you grind enough out, you may damage the hull a little but the remaining glue should pop/crack and allow you to remove the deck. Just don't forget about the bulkhead area and the pump area. The whole thing sounds like more work than it's worth but maybe this will help.

I have seen a RN that come apart clean, even got re-assembled but the sillyputty SN topdeck likely won't take the force needed to pull it apart.

There's nothing you can repair or reinforce by separating the halves that you can't also do by cutting the tray out. Besides, you still have to fill and reinforce the seems when you put it back together. I can't think of a single good reason to pull the deck off unless you are going to put an aftermarket deck back on.

yahoo!!!!! got the front part totally separated!!!! now the back my the firewall will be a bitch....

i used a chizzle around the outside of the boldline to separatet them....

and my tool of choice is a CAR JACK!!!!!! i just cranked it up a little and then chizzled from the inside.

i got the front half separated in about an hour!!!!

not the back may be a little more tricky!

hopefully i can get the firewall out, then put the jack in and do the same thing.

little pieces chipped off, but it was my fault from that!

Wow - you're insane! I really don't understand what you are achieving here, except for making yourself a whole lot of work.

It's my second hull I really don't care it wasn't that much work. Just doin it in my free time and swaping everything when it's done. Plus I have 2 broken ride plate inserts, and pump inserts are messed up too. So that would of been a pain in the butt to do anyways

Hmm, well: if you have the time I guess. But you can do anything you need to in the tray area by hacking the tray out. Here's mine:
