Trying to steal to T.O. scene? Pimpin boats. Better see you out next year.
Did you get any run time on them this year? When I bought the MSD off you in the spring you were building them?

None the less, killer. Now get out and ride em!

Weekly Lake O rides are commencing next season. I will add you to the mailing list :smoker:

Nice! Look forward to ripping it with you next year.

I'm pretty much done fore this year after Ipperwash. Unless we get some Indian late Summer...

Alright so first two pics below are from the reinforcing.
17oz Biaxial cloth finnished with 8oz Carbon.

Just a little pointer... try to keep it out of the sun or it starts to cloud the color of the carbon.

Next few are from the overall prepping of the hull for paint.

D-Roc

I forgot!
nice looking skis, hows that team scream BB motor run? how much did your hull weigh after all the reinforcing? i hope to see you guys at ipperwash for FSF.

I haven't run mine yet :/ Was going to this weekend but forgot all my tools at home... so didnt have a chance to finish everything up...

Rob rode his last weekend with a stock ignition, and he said it was awesome.
we had some trouble getting the advents to start up, next weekend we will try them with those installed.

The silver was done professionally, I did the red myself... It looks good from a few feet away, closer if you arent really looking for imperfections. I rushed the last 2 coats, and they ran a bit/were streaky... tried to sand them out but got lazy and turfed... I might go back and try to get it smoother

Thats only what is left of the booth, it took up half of the garage. The interlux came out really nice all it really needs now is a nice wax and it will be done.
I will have some pics of the turfed skis and engines later on tonight.

completed pics

Here are some completed pics of the red ski.

Still needs a polish and wax. I dont think i will notice the flaws in the paint as much when its uniformly shiney :p

My first time Turfing, I think it came out pretty well.

We just havent decided on the length, shorter or longer then -4 is the question.
Lets not even talk about the border fees... lets just say the fees were more then the parts in some cases .

That hood latch that you are looking at ended up costing double because of UPS, the hoods were not to bad.

Go -4 than just adjust turnplate length if needed.

I hear ya sometimes its just ridiculous Fed Ex and their $57 customs and brokerage fee.

Fedex is gold compared to UPS... To get those engines back in the country from Chuckie it took 1.5 weeks, 3 of the box's (1 of which had the carbs) had been lost and delivered to Wal-Mart accidentaly. Gooch had driven down to Fort Erie to pick them up and they had locked them up that same day, he came back to the city empty handed.

Well worth it though, Chuck did an awsome job on the porting and overall setup. Minimal tuning is required with the complete package. Pat and Terry over at XMetal also helped us out a ton during the overall build with parts that were needed last minute.

Rumor has it that Gooch wants to get a 10Mil Stroker done up ;).
