Trends you've noticed lately. Good or bad.

I'll start with Pontoon boats. They've taken over the river here in the past 24 years. Cabin Cruisers, Ski boats, and duck boats were the norm here growing up, now it's rare to even see a Wake boarding boat during the summer weekdays.

Pontoon boats are good for one thing, moving old or fat people around. Their wake sucks, fishing from one sucks, and I hate seeing them period.

I think the price of wakeboarding boats/ waterskiing boats along with people just being lazy in general has pushed most people out of the market.

I'll take a lake full of pontoon boats over a lake full of wakeboarding or ski boats any day. Obnoxious MFers blasting music no one else wants to hear, spending half their time looking behind them at whomever they are towing, instead of looking where the hell they are going, and making the whole lake a freaking washing machine, ruining it for anyone else out there trying to enjoy a peaceful calm day on the water. And fishing from a pontoon may not be as great as fishing from a 22" Ranger or Triton bass boat, but it beats the hell out fishing from a freaking bowrider, or even from a Fish n Ski, that's for damn sure.

We live on the Mississippi River, highly industrialized, never quiet. Pontoon boats bring 20 people out to the sandbars, with zero class. You can NOT escape waves and noise here.

The summer months always bring lots of d bags out to Lanier so you really gotta pay attention when you’re on a standup . The best riding is in the spring and fall months when they all go away for the most part.

That is when I do most of my riding on Lake Martin , Lak Gantt which is the closest lake to me is never really crowded other than holiday weekends, plus there are lots of areas with cypress trees to ride through where most people in boats don't usually go.

About another 30 minutes down the road is Jackson Lake which is basically a private lake not much going on there especially on weekdays, ride all you want.

It is small like 500 acres but if you have it all to yourself it's great !

When I drop my daughter off at High school 1/2 the kids have pajamas on, the other 1/2 have less clothes on then most people at the beach

I have ridden on Gantt Lake, My wife is from Andalusia.

Yep Lake Jackson , Florala , AL , part of the lake is in Covington county . AL , the other part is in Leon county FL.

There is also Jackson Lake Island in Milbrook , Al which is where the movie Big Fish was filmed at.

Chicken Wing prices are finally back to pre COVID levels. They were up to 85 cents a wing during the scamdemic. Now they're back down to 45 cents.

....I was watching Trailer Park Boys early seasons(2005ish?), Chicken Wings were on special for 5 CENTS CANADIAN back then!
