ok, so I picked up an older Blowsion trim setup for $80 on craigslist (reduction nozzle, trim ring, steering nozzle, pully, hardware)...it appears to be NOS or at least restored... Only thing that is missing (I THINK) is the cable and cable stop bracket (I can easily make something that will replace the bracket) . A few observations I've made are for one, the gap between the trim ring and steering nozzle looks bigger than more modern systems like it probably loses a lot of thrust if you are trimmed up at full steering lock - Probably because the trim ring is on the outside of the steering nozzle as opposed to vice-versa where the trim ring is sort of tapered into both nozzles.. Also, this system pulls from the right side of the pump when facing the rear of the ski vs. what seems like every other system pulls from the left (opposite side of steering)... Do you know anything about this Blowsion system I'm referring to? Are the things I mentioned both reasons why it's now obsolete? My hull is not through-piped for trim yet and I'm wondering if I should go ahead and run something on the right side to use this Blowsion trim and then plug it and switch sides if I ever feel I need to upgrade, or am I definitely going to need to upgrade because the Blowsion system sucks and should I just ditch it now for a Thrust system from the get go?? It would be great to use the blowsion system because it was so cheap and in such great condition, but if i'm going to regret installing it I'd rather get it right the first time. Disclaimer: I'm a total noob and I dont know how to ride for sh*t...
