Its better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.
I use it a lot surf riding. Riding In a wave when your nose is about to dive under give it a pull and lean back. 3 foot day and want to flip? Yank it. Boat wake, yank it.
Everything on a jetski breaks eventually anyway, whats a few more moving parts?
