Turf removal

Someone made a mess with hydroturf on my ski. Is there an easy way to strip it off without pulling my paint off? They turfed under the seat and its a mess. Would prefer not to ruin the paint there if theres a good way to strip it. Thanks in advance for input

I soaked mine with goof off and a sticker removal I bought on amazon. Had to do it in sections because I’d get irritated with how long it took. And used a paint scraper and window cleaning razor blade setup.

Definitely a few 6 packs during the removal process.

That adhesive remover was pretty cheap, and i only used a small faction of the bottle, and it made the contact cement or whatever was under the turf I took off come clean like wiping up snotty goobers. Spray on, let sit for a few seconds, wipe off, repeat 1-2 times for thicker blobs, rinse with water. I tried other chemistry in a “hmm... let’s see if this does it” fashion, and all were no good, so I searched for an intentional solution and found that stuff. I am almost certain brake cleaner, acetone, turpentine, and mineral spirits were in those failed attempts. Anyway... I should have been more descriptive.

I didn’t know it in advance, but there are plastic paint scraper type things available in the paint sections of Home Depot, etc. Those are good for pressing on decals with a rag, and also for scraping off snotty goobers.
