Turf?

Alright so I'm buyin turf.


So heres the thing. Ive always just bought whatever Bstock is.


So my 2 choices. Diamond, Groove, or Waffle?


Secondly, and more importantly.... Cut or molded? I know one falls apart/loses its memory far sooner... but for the life of me, I cant remember which....

This time I'll be buying black.

What do you guys think?

Pretty sure the molded is the best,thicker and stronger, and the cut is thinner and the diamonds are longer than the molded. As for the other types i personally have not used them. Feel free to correct me if i am wrong as i usually am. LOL. opworm:

Molded diamond only has two color options...that is the downside.

And what exactly is b-stock??? I've heard it all over but when I go to their site there isn't anything I can see listed as that. Maybe i'm just special!

It is usually dark grey molded turf and has some small blemishes usually not even noticeable. A sheet sells for $30 instead of $60 for the regular stuff. Look under specials or sheets for sale. Can not remember off hand

B stock is the grey stuff - no color added. It's actually what the turf is before it is dyed all the other colors.

Don't see too many ski with the waffle cut.... Not sure how it hold up though

Now, groved, diamond, or waffle..? I like groove in the tray and diamond on the gunnals... Only seen waffel on the expensive skis....


Black or dark grey. Thats what I'll be goin with.

B stock does not come in Black.

the waffle is cut...but the one ty thing about it...it doesnt come in a full sheet..

they cut a piece off so you get most of a sheet, then the rest of it

Yes it does if you catch them at the right time. I've bought it before. Had some small bubbles/voids on the smooth side, other than that, it looked fine.

hijack, does Hydroturf make the foam or are they just a distributor? do they do any modification to the foam when they get it?

diamond will look the best the longest......I love the waffle, but ZERO mistakes with it or youre done..

there is also the smooth black option....Xscream did black chrome in all smooth turf....looked sweet!

Good to know, molded diamond is my favorite so far. I love the way the waffle looks but if it won't hold up for more than a season or two I am not interested.
