Turfing rails

When turfing your rails on a 650 or any stand up do you do the plastics and reattach or remove the plastic and turf directly on the body?

you remove the plastic rails. make sure to sand off any paint (if you've painted the ski).

Some people prefer to replace their nose bumper after the rail turf is installed, making sure that it overlaps with the edges of the turf.

Some people turf all the way around

yeah like gooch said , remove the plastics, and sand to give the glue good bonding surface.... I usually glue both surfaces twice , let completely dry then install the turf. and smack with a rubber mallet. Oh yeah a heat gun will help make the turf more plyable to help make bends!
