Turfing the tray sides

I did a search .just want to say that first before I post

The sidetray of a 650sx looks removable but do you turff these railes or completely remove them? IF you do turff them how would you do it and same goes for the the plate with the choke and res switch.

You always turf directly to the hull. Remove any existing padding or turf. I'm pretty sure the sides of the 650sx are originally vinyl covered foam with a plastic backing that is screwed to the hull. Remove the entire plastic piece. Fill the holes, and use hydroturf padding to regain original shape if necessary. Then apply turf.
