Super Jet Two skis in a tacoma?

Does things to makes the do goods
I had a schematic mocked up and was just about to build a rack to make the bond lines of 2 superjets fit above the wheel wells and then I realized that the side housing for the tailgate is WAY in the way. It will not allow the arse ends of 2 skis side by side.
I doubt you can make it work with a tacoma without having one ski tilted all janky like but idk, maybe someone else has had better luck.
Racks that fit on top of the bed walls and tailgate will work, but I bet it takes some muscle getting skis in and out.

Done it. Two Superjets in a shortbed on a 2x4 rack that had the bond rails sitting just above the bed top. Worked out pretty good for last summer but kind of a pain in the ass loading back in even with winches.

I have done it in my 06 Tacoma. I have this nifty little camping box my buddy made me that fits perfectly between my wheelwells and puts the bond line of the skis almost level with the wheelwell. that and I can put a bunch of crap in the box lol I will try and conjure up some pics I haven't done it since my buddy got his trailer.

ranger 090.jpgTwo will fit fine if you raise one up- 1st one on a couple stiff tires and slid the other next to it. This way you can slide the 1st ski in and lift one end at a time up onto the tires. I also had a rack to haul 3 skis above the bed rails but they were a pain to load and now the back of my truck sags if I put more than 2 cases of beer in it.

did it fast cheap and easy , by a pair of 12' 2x8 cut in half, take your 6' sections, square them up on each end to provide clearance as well as a brace in the center, this will clear all hull features. build both braces for under 20$, they are light and i also use them on the shore when its rocky as a stand/makeshift dock.

when i am done, the wife gets 2 new planter boxes..this size will also place the nose of the ski flush with top of truck box for added support. i did this with an octane, which are wide, and an old SN.. couple straps and good to go.. also, i usually place my gear ie wet suit life vests etc under the ski in the wood box and fuel cans fit under ski nose at front of box.. pics attached, the small brace you see in pic 2 is to prevent things from shifting around in the drive, did not want a permanent fixture in my truck and secondary use on rocky shore from pic 3 is why.
