300/440/550 Ughhh what a shame...

I had always wanted the jetski that had sat in my grandmothers garage for the past years, and I was finally able to get it. My uncles had ridden me around on the thing when i was 5 years old and I still remember it. Fast forward 21 years I picked it up this past weekend and it looks brand new.... Until I opened the hood. Last registered in 1995 it looks like it sat since then with about 6" of saltwater in the hull. Motor is locked and by the looks of it, complete junk. Looks like a new motor is in order. Its too bad because it could have been prevented. Oh well, at least I got the jetski. Here are the pictures.

Great bit of history and a nice looking hull though! That will be a fun thing to have, especially when it is up and running again.

sure is, I plan to restore it as best I can, but wanted to keep it 100% original. I already have a superjet and FX-1, and this is more of a sentimental piece.

i had a worse motor out of my 79 440.

looked like saltwater had been sitting in it since, well 1979.

wish i still had the case or a picture there was practically nothing left of the engine mount bolt holes or the bed plate.
