Underglo for trailer

Saw this on facebook. Anyone do this to their trailer? Is the wiring as easy as tapping the marker lights and grounding the black wire? Might give this a try..

Thanks for the info.. any other colors to avoid? Not sure if I'll bother.. I never really trailer in the dark..

No. Blue is the color i would want in neon. Never checked any other. Saw a car get stopped because it had a neon bar in the rear window. Clearly wasnt trying to imitate a cop. Not sure the specifics.

I got pulled over for having blue fog lights, and I've had a buddy get in trouble for having red. Also, I know of someone that had purple underglow that's got in trouble because it was a mix of blue and red. When I got pulled over I asked the cop what colors weren't allowed, and he said all emergency colors. He listed the following as "not allowed":
Red, blue (for obvious reasons) and orange because of construction vehicles. Some cops are different from others, but I feel that is as strict as it'll ever get because imo, that's ridiculous. But just a heads up because some cops might not be having a good day

The rules regarding lighting are clearly stated in the DOT handbook. Once you get their attention it's all about what the book says and not their discretion.

The trick is to not get their attention in the first place. ;)
