UPDATE: eBay deal!!! Make or buy - fuel jug rack

A new 3 jug fuel rack is $115 at most online retailers, does it even make sense pricing out raw material to attempt to fabricate one? Additionally, I have an office job with no real access to a welder, but I do have a buddy who works at a galvanizing plant, so I got that going for me. Thoughts/opinions?

UPDATE:
So... I was gonna pull the trigger on a $115 fuel jug rack and stumbled upon an eBay vendor "4WheelOnline" out of FL who has this 3 place Fly fuel jug rack for $87.25. Get them while they last. I already picked up the one I needed.

I would say, if you have no feasible access to a welder, just buy the online one. I really enjoy building stuff and have all the equipment, but sometimes you are better off buying something like this unless you plan to make a bunch of them, when you figure what your time is worth.

One of these was on my initial list of things to build back when I purchased my welder but discovered they come up for sale from time to time at pretty reasonable prices so it's not really worth building unless you want something custom or specific.

From a fabricators pov, that's about $20-$30 in materials plus another $30 for powder coat plus another $60-$75 for labor. So for a one off piece you can save money if you can diy or your friend doesn't charge you for labor.
$115 isn't a bad price considering you will have it in a couple of days
