I'm thinking this summer of possibly adding more power because I probably won't have enough money for a a/m hull. With that said I'm looking in the 1000 to 2000 range to spend. I saw xmetals 771cc kit and jetmaniacs big bore motor setup too. Anyone have any input.

Hard to beat Jetmaniac package.. His big bore motors rip, right in your price range with a trade in....

I'm running 2 of his BB motors... Great motor on a budget...

A big bore 62t/61x 701 is the best bang for the buck and is a very hard hitting motor. There are lots of engine builders who can do this for you so you are not just limited to those two companies. Basically they just remove the stock sleeves, bore the cylinder to accept the big bore sleeves and enlarge/shape the transfer and boost ports (usually while the sleeves are out due to easier access) then install the big bore sleeves and finish porting the motor and blending the cylinder/sleeve seems since they dont line up perfectly. Anyone who has a big bore 62t/61x will tell you its a very hard hitting motor and in my opinion the best motor before you go with billet and powervalve cylinders.
you could either use your engine to build or you could just sell your engine to fund the new motor and buy complete from Jetmaniac and have the piece of mind that you are getting all new/rubuilt parts and basically have a new motor.

thanks for the info, i figure after almost 3 years of riding now I should step up the power a little. Im going to talk to a few local riders to see whats up. I wish I didnt have so much going on the next month or two or I would start this project right now seeing I wont be attending Daytona :(

If you have the money and decide on what you wanna do you could pull your motor and strip it in about an hour or two to send it out. Its going to take time for an engine builder to do all the machine work and porting if you build your motor depending on how much work they have (winter months are building months for most people). You would also need to have the cases ported and clearanced for the big bore sleeves and would be a good idea to rebuild or replace your crank just to have a fresh motor from top to bottom. The benefit of the Jetmaniac motor is you unbolt your engine, swap electronics and manifolds over and bolt his in.

Yup, was an easy choice for me. I just let the people who knew what they were doing do their thing and dropped it in. It was very straight forward and easy to do. All I had to do was swap the electronics and some small other things then I was good to go and hopefully for several years.
