V- FORCE 4

Well it seems moto tassinari reeds have become like the apple I-phone lol. I wonder how long it will be before the new VF4's for dirt bikes and quads are made for PWC's... any ideas?

I like VF2s because the cages are made well. VF3s have cheapo plastic cages which I have had to replace after hydrolocking a motor. I probably couldn't tell the difference in performance but Im sure there are some that would swear by one or the other.

The only thing I dont like about my VF2's is the reed screws can wonder out and get sucked thru the motor. the design of the VF3's cage eliminated the issue.

Exact issue I had. I never did any back to back testing, so hearing from others that have is nice.

I suppose that can happen but the same thing can happen with the stock reeds. Loctite should help that.

VF3s are made from a thinner, much less reliable, carbon. The do actually make a couple more hp, but their longevity isn't nearly as good as the 2s. Problem is, you can't get the parts for the 2s anymore, so it is what it is.

I rebuilt my vf2s last summer. Jetmaniac had replacement reed petals. Put loctite on the screws.
