They sound like a great idea, just as the Garmin Rhino's sounded great to us mountain sledders years ago. It is a two way FRS/GMRS radio with built in GPS that will transmit your location and tracks to other riders with the same units. At $600 a pop (cdn$ back then anyway) they were pricey but the group agreed that they were a great safety device and each of us vowed to buy one. Well, 2 out of 10 of us actually bought them leaving us holding expensive but useless radios while the others were all packing $80 FRS radios. It's only a great idea if everyone has one.

In a different thread...anyone want to buy a "like new" Garmin Rhino 120 GPS Unit? (jk)

I reciently started wearing ear plugs while riding my sj. After a few hours of Brap BRAPP of the dry pipe and TDR water box I would get a lil ringing in the ears. I allready have hearing loss and dont need any more.
