Tried my first rolls last sunday. Check out the video and let me know what u think. I feel like I just need to rotate a little more.

youve got em.... Throw your head harder and crank the bars on the way up the wave and they will be plate to plate.

A steeper wave wouldn't hurt either. Although I know we've had crap surf all season.

where do you ride? i used to live in South Jersey (marlton). family has a house in wildwood which is where i used to ride.

ive been working on my barrel rolls too. i cant seem to get that last little bit either. well keep trying, you will get it.

A bigger wave makes it a lot easier to learn.

I have noticed it also allows for sloppy form. I have been guilty of that myself and keep trying to focus on the basics again. More power sort of made me have to re-learn roll technique in the surf.

I'm guilty of thinking I'm a pretty good rider until I see vids like this, when in actuality I'm just fortunate to live close to good surf. It amazes me that you can roll on such small surf, it looked like flatwater to me. If you lived on the West Coast and rode the surf I do, you'd be rolling over the moon! Congrats- looks great!

Come a little closer into shore and wait another few beats for those waves to peak a little bit more keep your same speed and stay low and committed like you are and you should be stomping them perfectly.

Nice job keep it up!
