vintage - '86 kawi 440 resurrection

My brother-in-law just picked up a running 1986 Kawasaki 440 for $200 for my nephew. Needs paint so we decided to go through it and do a quick update on everything... since the turf was in need of repair, it had a broken motor mount etc.

My brother-in-law is going to paint the hull this week...

should be a fun little beginner ski for my 13 year old nephew... it gave us a chance to let my nephwe wrench a little and have some fun... he's totally into it now.

and it gave us something fun to do over the rainy weekend...

it's got a pipe and a skat trac impeller...

my bother-in-law finally got the ski painted... so we started putting it back together. here she is...

Gonna put black diamond moulded hydro-turf on it and the handle pole is black

well here she is, finally complete and fired up for the first time last night. just finished turfing the rails last night and she looks cool as hell I must say...

can't wait to see my 13 year old nephew ride it for the 1st time.
