Want to add handle pole spring to Superfreak Circus

Does anyone know how to go about adding a handle spring to my Superfreak Circus. At the moment it's set up tightened so that it stays up on its own, but it's tiring holding it up while it's out on the water. What's new to me is the Circus is set up with integrated handle pole plates, so there's no bracket, and the pole is attached by two bolts on each side instead of one long pivot pole that goes all the way across where the spring would be installed on. Anyone have any ideas?

In order to run a spring, you have to run a pole bolt. In order to run a pole bolt with the SF setup, you have to remove the brackets and install the spring, pole, and bolt all in one go. Here's a thread to give you some ideas: http://www.x-h2o.com/index.php?threads/superfreak-pole-spring.148653/

And here's some advice a little @Ducky told me once upon a time..You ride a freestyle ski, so you might as well ride with a tight pole too.
I went from a square with a super springy pole to a short freestyle ski. Switching to a freestyle ski, my pole is extremely tight and necessary IMO. You shouldn't be tired at all with your pole being tight. If you are, it's not tight enough. If it tires you out to keep lifting it up and down, you'll get used to it and not notice it all.

Thanks, maybe I should learn to use the search, didn't see that thread. But I think you're right that my pole might not be tight enough. I'll give that a try first, the spring mods seem like they're a pain.

Just search whatever you're looking for in google. Like: "superfreak pole spring xh2o.com" is what i do. Works better that way.
Yep, that's probably the case. It would drive me crazy to have my pole not tight since I rest my weight on it all the time when I ride, so it's pretty much like a fixed steer.

I think the nuts are 7/8 and the heads are possibly 15/16. Try tightening the pole up. Its difficult to get used to at first but eventually u get used to it.
