washers behind prop

How many washers should there be behind the prop. I just removed my Skat 13/17 and it had 2. I'm going to try a stock 08 prop do I leave both those washers in there...

the washers are optional. i personally like the washer behind my 12/17 because it loosens it up a tad on the bottom. without the washer it just dart wherever the ski is pointed. this is in a mag pump.

wow just looked at the pic and man those are some big spacers. mine is a lot thinner, maybe 3mm at most. my prop is a cut back so the washer allows me to go back and forth from cut back to non cut back.

It just determines how far the impeller is from the vanes. You can adjust "cutback" that way.
On my 140 Mag, a spacer is actually necessary because the impeller that was ordered new from Skat Trak was so far cut back that the hub would rub the stator section without a washer.

My 140 is exactly the same - I need 3mm of washer just to allow the prop to clear the static vanes

does yalls literally rub the stator section without the washer? mine is very very close, cant even get my fingernail in it. just curious, i need to put the washer back in mine, i like it with it better but had to try it without just to see what its like.

if you remove the washer/washers just make sure the prop and driveshaft spin before you reinstall! last time I messed with washers I removed, reassembled FULLY then hit the button and it was locked tight lol... make a 20 minute project like 2.5 hours
