Super Jet Water in carbs

My ski runs strong until I start tossing it around (gets water in the hood) and then it looses about 25% of it's power and does not redline. This lasts for about 2 minutes of cruising and then works it's self out and runs strong again till you toss it around.

Seems to me like I'm getting getting water in my carbs through my flame arrestors.

I can't find any outerwear for the arrestor I'm running.
I was looking at the blowsion tornado air forced flame arrestor. Do anyone have experience with these? Do they keep water out?

If you have any other recommendations to fix this problem, let me know.

I would address the hood letting water in...put in a new hood seal and make sure the breather tubes run all the way to the bottom of the hull

What carbs are u running? Everyone always says the oem boxes are best for keeping water out.

A buddy of mine has also used a large piece of turf and zip tied it over the carbs

Outerwears are not all they are cracked up to be IMO. They keep major splash out of the flame arrestors, but they also tend to hold water once they get wet and take longer to clear out. What carbs are you running?

I run Blowsion tornado filters with outerwears'. With the clear tops of the tornado filters after some days riding i can see that there is moisture on the inside of the Filter, tho i have never felt any sort of major power loss, some amount of water is still getting in. I never really have a ton of water in my ski, tho the scupper is closed off and i run two bilge pumps with a tight hood seal, always a little water comes through the breather tubes and splashes around enough to see some water in those filters at the end of the day. Your best bet for zero water is probably gonna be the big stock setup, but ill keep runnin the tornados

Plugging the front hood breathers helps as well if you like to go under. Although I did make the rears bigger to compensate.

many threads on keeping water out and away from carbs, biggest is ditch the cones for the oem setup. it really is the best.
