Water in gas tank

Can anyone tell me the procedure after you get water in the gas tank because you were too in a hurry and forgot to put gas cap on. I'm sure the first thing is empty the tank... Is there anything I have to do with carbs and motor. I did run it and notice it was running like crap and came in and found that. Thanks.

you may have ingested water in the motor. Every time I get a lot of water in the motor, about once a year, I remove the plugs and let the motor turn over so all the water comes out the plug holes. Then I fog it. Good to go after that if you get it all out

doesn't sound too bad. I took plugs out already and turned it over. I have to dump the old gas and get fresh stuff and try it again..

You should be good. Stuff like this is bound to happen from time to time. Just can't let it sit in there and you'll be golden.

Yep, empty tank bare. removed fuel from all line and emptied carbs.. New gas and no problem... Dodged that bullet..

Run it good and hot to get the water out of the crankcase
