Wave Blaster wont start

Hey guys,

My Blaster wont start, when you press the starter, it sounds like an old door opening.......CREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK

But nothing happens, battery is fine, any suggestions?

check the ground cable. Next try jumping the starter relay inside the ebox. that should narrow it down.

Does it sound like the starter is spinning at all? If it is the starter bendix are pretty common on yamaha platforms.

Sounds like a bad bendix don’t know what else would creek like a door really

If you can turn the motor over by hand, my guess would be bendix.

The only other thing that would make a creaking sound would be if the wear ring swelled up and is touching the prop, its easy to shine a flashlight into the pump and see if its touching anywhere.
