Wave Raider trim on SJ

Im looking for a cheap and reliable trim system to put on my 701. If I get a raider pump and nozzle off of ebay, will this bolt onto my existing parts? Has anyone done this and did it actually work well? What all will I need to do in order to make this a working trim system.

I looked at a bunch of those threads, it seems like they are all for rn's, will the raider nossle and pump fit on a squarenose?

The bottom deck (Bottom of the ski) are the same.

It seems like the top part where you attach the cable will rub the bottom of the hull and it will get stuck, will it actually fit or will I have to modify it?

I have done this with a plate to fix the nozzle into a position. I found on most SJ you will have to trim the lever that the cable attaches to in order to make clearance to the top part of the pump tunnel. After taking off the little amount of that arm you will just drill a new hole and attach a cable through. I have never done one with a cable but look very easy to do.

I had one on my SN and it worked good. I had to make a small bracket to attach the cable to, which I mounted with one of the pump bolts I believe. Very little modification was needed to make it work properly.

I have some complete exit, steer nozzle assemblies with trim. $125 + s&h. Fresh water, great shape. People use these on SJ's all the time. For payment I take Visa, and Matercard. If you call the shop 608-743-1305 I can typically ship same day.

Would you say it was worth it? what were the advantages?

It was worth it because it was cheap and easy to install. I knew I would never realistically do a back flip with the ski, so I didn't expect that to happen with the trim anyways. It does help with a setup wake if you want to attempt barrel rolls. It was more of something I just wanted to have so I put it on.
