Blaster waveblaster 1 ride plate

Hey guys,

Just wanting to know peoples thoughts on what would be a good ride plate for my waveblaster 1. Im currently in a position where if i am on about 1/2 throttle the nose of the ski bounces up and down in the water while i ride along (in flat conditons). Also when ride plates are installed should silicone be used around the edges of it where its bolted to the hull? Im ideally looking for a plate which would prevent "spin outs" as my current one does this. Just so everyone knows, i use my ski in a mixture of flat water and surf riding

Save your time on the silicone and whatever you do, don't sand the roughness of the casting off the plate. It actually helps the plate to grip the water. It's all a mater of preference, but we always used the JD as well. Glen the owner of JD will also tell you to not waste your time siliconing the plate. You may want to add some rear sposnons as well, elimiates chine walk and makes the ski stick tighter in turns. We used BH HX sponsons, but I beleive Scottie Mac has some he sells for the Blaster as well. Good luck.

Steve
